GYMNASIUM AND SPORTS

Nehru Mahavidyalaya has an attractive andmodern gymnasium equipped with machines (facilities), in which identity card holders (both morning and evening) students can go and make their physical shape healthy and attractive. In addition, Nehru Mahavidyalaya, Lalitpur has its own spacious playground. Here all the facilities are available for the students like football ground, hockey ground, volleyball, kabaddi ground and badminton court, 200 meters track for athletics, judo hall, weight lifting etc. are available. This is the reason why in the past years the players of the college have won many medals by performing best in University and All India Inter-University competitions. In the college, more than 60 players havebrought laurels to the college and university by performing well at all Indialevel in various competitions like power lifting, judo, athletics, badminton,wrestling, cricket etc. The winning players of the college are awarded certificates, shields, medals, track shots. Sports persons are awarded certificates by colleges and universities, they are given overload or exemption as per government rules in various competitive examinations and various recruitments like Army, BSF, CISF, CRPF, RPF, UP Police and Sub-Inspector etc. More information in this regard can be obtained from Prof. Anil Suryavanshi, Departmentof Physical Education.
